e-Management’s eGov Risk Portfolio Manager hits 100!
July 20, 2010 – e-Management reports its flagship product eGov Risk Portfolio Manager™ (eGov RPM™) has reached the century milestone—100 user licenses sold to federal government agencies including the Departments of Energy (DOE), Health and Human Services (HHS), Transportation (DOT), Commerce (DOC), and Interior (DOI). eGov RPM is an automated information technology (IT) solution for risk management.
“With eGov RPM, you capture risk intelligence in a centralized repository, then use that knowledge base to make informed decisions about your risks at an enterprise, program, or project level,” said Bambo Bamgbose, executive vice president and CFO of e‑Management. “Our government users are seeing the practical applications across multiple disciplines and program offices.”
eGov RPM assists various management levels with risk management. It can provide the government executives with an overview of agency or program risks while helping project managers to easily capture, monitor, report, and manage risks. eGov RPM is customizable, allowing agencies to define custom categories or groupings of risks that are meaningful to their unique circumstances.
In practical terms, the government is using the tool very differently. One federal organization is using eGov RPM for tracking risks around compliance. On the other hand, one federal program office is using the IT solution to monitor and mitigate risks around IT security processes. Another customer plans to use the commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) product to manage risks around enterprise architecture. In addition, at least one federal agency is using eGov RPM to track risks around projects and initiatives related to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
“With more than a decade of supporting the government, we understand the issues that our clients face in managing risks,” said Ms. Sage. “We believe that eGov RPM can help them get their risks under control.” eGov RPM was developed specifically for the federal government as a COTS product.
