e-Management CEO Ola Sage earns prestigious award from Washington Business Journal
February 8, 2013 – Today, the Washington Business Journal announced Ola Sage as a 2013 Minority Business Leader honoree, along with 24 corporate executives and community leaders. The awards program is in its sixth year, and recognizes minority leaders for their entrepreneurial drive, creativity, and success. The winners will be honored at an awards event March 21, 2013 at the Washington Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C. The Washington Business Journal will also showcase the honorees in a special issue, which goes on sale March 22, 2013.
According to the Washington Business Journal, the selection team received more than 100 nominations this year. In addition to the high volume of nominations, the selection team said that the competition was stronger than previous years. The Washington Business Journal committee judged nominees on overcoming obstacles, philanthropic spirit, and other criteria. The 2013 Minority Business Leader honorees included executives in various industries including information technology, higher education, hospitality, and more.
“This is an incredible honor,” said Ola Sage, president and CEO of e-Management. “This award has special meaning for me because beyond professional accomplishments, it also recognizes and validates the deep commitment all honorees have as leaders to be involved in our communities as well as to support charitable initiatives. I am happy to see so many minority business leaders being honored for giving back to our communities.”
The Washington Business Journal and its sister publications have close to 5 million weekly readers nationwide; their four daily e-mail updates, including the FedBiz Daily and Morning Call, each have more than17 thousand subscribers.
