Doing Business With Us
Quality Assurance

e-Management's management approach is accountable, transparent, and highly adaptable to our customers operating environments. Our approach provides effective, disciplined, and structured project management necessary to deliver efficiencies, reduce costs, and provide outstanding customer service. Over 14 years of experience delivering services to the federal government has led us to understand the importance of applying disciplined project management and repeatable business processes. Our management approach—rooted in Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI®) processes and proactive risk management— provides (1) in-depth and forward-looking insight and solutions to business and technical challenges, and (2) advances the Navy and/or Marine Corps missions with minimal risk.

e-Management's ability to control work and ensure repeatable desired results is based on proven Project Management Institute (PMI) and CMMI ML2 practices. Our approach can be used on a variety of projects such as IT operations in¬volving capacity, change or security management; professional services, business services such as service desk, telecommunication or multimedia, etc.; or general organization and management support such as financial, resource or knowledge management. Our emphasis is always on consistent quality and customer satisfaction, improved productivity and cost effectiveness while meeting the project requirements.

Our standard life cycle for project management consists of four phases: Initiation, Planning, Execution, and Hand-Off/Closure. Our planning phase activities are focused on defining a defensible technical approach and a realistic schedule. Our planning includes identification of skills needed to accomplish the work, identification of deliverables, risks and detail risk mitigation plans as well as plan for staffing. We use CMMI ML2 templates to capture this information in our full scale projects, and we use change management tickets to capture this data for micro-projects. Our quality activities identified on a QA agreement form at the beginning of each project include peer reviews, quality assurance audits, and configuration management audits. The quality manager will engage in the planning activities up front so all participants understand expectations at the onset.
